中国画系
 中央美术学院中国画系教学历史悠久，以艺术大师李可染、蒋兆和、叶浅予、李苦禅教授为代表的名师形成了有广泛影响的传统 ，师资力量雄厚。中国画系的第一任系主任是原中国美术家协会副主席、全国政协委员、著名人物画大师叶浅予教授。历任国画系主任的有丁井文、李琦、黄润华、姚有多、张立辰，现任系主任韩国榛，副主任田黎明、王书杰。在不断的教学改革中，中国画系逐步形成了比较科学和符合中国画艺术规律的现代教学体系与专业特色，培养了大批优秀人才，其中成为中国美术家协会副主席的就有周思聪、刘勃舒、刘大为、扬力舟。同时长年接收外国留学生，在传播中国文化，扩大中国民族绘画的影响方面发挥了重要作用。
全系现有教师3l人，其中教授10人、副教授13人、讲师6人，形成较完整的老、中、青相结合的教学和创作队伍。
中国画系坚持“吞吐古今、涉猎中外、立足传统、鼓励独创”的教学方针，实行“传统、生活、创作三结合”的教学原则及“临摹、写生、创作三位一体”的教学方法，2000年开始实行教授（导师）工作室的教学结构。现有教授（导师）工作室为：以探索中国画多样表现性为特征的李少文工作室；以水墨人物画为专业的韩国榛工作室；以工笔重彩人物画为专业的胡勃工作室；以山水画为专业的贾又福工作室；以花鸟画为专业的赵宁安工作室；以书法篆刻为专业的王镛工作室；以材料技法研究为特色的胡伟工作室。
The Chinese Painting
Department
With
a long teaching history and an influential tradition
formed by famous masters such Li Keran, Jiang Zhaohe,
 Ye
Qianyu and Li Kuchan, the Chinese Painting Department
is very strong in its teaching staff. Its first Director
was Prof. Ye Qianyu, former Vice Chairman of the Chinese
Artists' Association, member of the Standing Committee
of CPPCC and a renowned master in figure painting.
Consecutively, other Directors were Ding Jingwen,
Li Qi, Huang Renhua, Yao Youduo, and Zhang Lichen.
Concurrently,Han Guozhen is the Director, Tian Liming
and Wang Shujie are Deputy Directors.
During
continual teaching practice,the Chinese Painting Department
has formed a modern teaching system and spe-cialty
characters conforming to the artistic laws of the
Chinese painting, and hastrained a large number of
excellent talents,whom Zhou Sicong, Liu Boshu, Liu
Dali and Yang Lizhou have been elected Vice Chairman
of Chinese Artists' Association. Having international
students studying in the department over the years,the
Chinese Painting Department plays an important role
in disseminating Chinese culture and en-larging the
influence of traditional Chinese painting.
The
department has a faculty of 31, of whom 9 are Professors,
13 are associate Professors and 6 are lecturers, and
the faculty is well balanced in terms of combing of
old, middle-aged and young teachers in teaching and
creativity.
In
accordance with the guideline of ''study-ing both
ancient and modern, Chinese and
 foreign,
based on tradition and encouraging originality'',
the principle of ''teaching that com-bines tradition,
life and creation '', and the teach-ing approach of
''mixing up imitation, sketch-ing and creation'' are
applied in the Chinese Painting Department. In 2000,
a studio system headed by Professors (tutor) was introduced.
Currently, the studios include Li Shaowen's Stu-dio
that seeks various forms of expression in the Chinese
painting; Han Guozhen's Studio spe-cialized in ink
and water figure painting; Hu Bo's Studio specialized
in heavy color and detailed Chinese figure painting;
Wang Yong's Studio specialized in landscape painting,
Zhao Ningan's Stu-dio specialized in calligraphy and
seal stone engraving; Hu Wei's Studio specialized
in the Chinesepainting materials and techniques' research.
