壁画系

中央美术学院壁画系是在中国改革开放的历史大潮中诞生的当代中国高等美术学院中第一个壁画专业系业系科。为适应城市公共环境建设迅猛发展的需求趋势，1979年初，在侯一民教授主持下，由李化吉、周令钊、梁运清、王文彬、邓澍等人参与筹建了壁画研究室。研究室自1980年开始招收本科生和研究生，1984年正式成立壁画系。历任系主任是侯一民、李化吉、梁运清教授，现任系主任孙景波教授，副系主任李林琢教授、曹力副教授。壁画系创建以来，为复兴中国壁画辉煌的历史传统，为吸取当代世界各国壁画与公共环境艺术的优长，在教学和创研实践中，不断总结经验教训，不断充实，调整学科知识结构，并在致力创造具有我们民族与时代特色的教学与创研实践中，逐步形成了自己的教学体系。同时成为这一专业领域内重要的创研实体。
壁画基础课程有：素描、线描、浮雕、色彩、平面、立体与色彩构成，壁画基础史论知识，环艺设计基础常识。壁画材料工艺课程有：油画材料技法，丙烯材料技法，中国重彩壁画技法，西方湿壁画技法，陶瓷材料工艺，金属与多种材料综合运用工艺。此外还有壁画环境艺术创作设计，壁画构图常识。
壁画专业课程的设置，不仅要求学生掌握一般的造型基础能力，还要具有更宽泛的艺术表现能力，以适应对公共艺术更广泛的需求和选择。壁画系教学注重对学生艺术审美品位的引导，注重对学生独立创作与设计能力的鼓励，每一学年都设置创作构图课和课外创作比赛，并专门设立了“壁画系优秀创作作品奖”。
从2001年秋季开始，壁画系教学向导师工作室制过渡。分别由孙景波教授主持第一工作室，李林琢教授主持第二工作室，曹力和陈文骥教授主持主持第三工作室。考虑到专业学科结构的特殊性，三个工作室在体现各自教学优长的同时，还将加强相互间的有机联系和课程内容的互补性， 使全系教学始终保持在一种立体化的整体结构中。

The Mural Painting Department

The Mural Painting Department of CAFA was founded in the tide of China's opening-up and reform and is the first of its kind in China's contemporary higher art academies. The preparation to establish CAFA mural painting Lab started in 1979 under the direction of Prof. Hou Yimin with the invoivement of Mr. LiHuaji, Zhou Lingzhao, Liang Yunqing, Wang Wenbin and Deng Shu. The Lab started to enroll undergraduate and graduate students in 1980, and in 1984, the Department was officially set up. Hou Yimin, Li Huaji and Liang Yunqing were the heads of the department successively and the current Director is Sun jingbo, and the deputies are Li Linzuo and Cao Li.
After its set up, to revitalize the magniFicent historical tradition of the Chinese mural painting, to digest the advantages in modern mural painting and public environment art in other countries of the world,and with consistent summary of experiences and ad-justment of course structure in the practice of teaching,creation and research, a teaching system dedicated to creative teaching, creation and research practice with the characters of our nation.
The foundation courses are drawing, outline drawing, reilef scuipture, color, graphics, structure and coior composition, brief history of mural painting, ba-sics of environment art design. The craft and materials subjects in mural painting are materials and techniques of oil painting, propylene technique, heavy color Chinese fresco technique, western fresco techniques, ceramics crafts, lacquered painting crafts, tessellation materials crafts, crafts for compos-ite use of metals and other materials, mural painting and environmental art creation and design,mural painting composition basics.
The specialty curricuium aims at requiring the students not only to acquire general plastic ability,but also to possess a greater ability in artistic expression-the application of multi techniques to adapt to the more extensive demand and choice of public art. The Department emphasizes the guidance of art appreciation of the students and encourages the students to create independently and design.Each year creation composition courses and after-class creation competitions are organized, and there is a ''Prize for Excellent Creation Works in the Department''.
From autumn 2001 the teaching will be studio-based. The First Studio is led by Prof. Sun jingbo, the Second by Prof. Li Linzuo, and the third by Prof. Cao Li & Chen Wenji. Taking into account the spe-cialty characters, the Studios will strengthen contacts and compiement each other in teaching content, whilst linking relevant and strong points and advantages in teaching, so that its teaching will always be a united one.
